Panel II Plant subjectivities, assemblies and assemblages

Plant subjectivities, assemblies and assemblages

In the plant world hybridity exists both naturally and post-naturally. We will explore vegetal possibilities, critical plant studies and both plant matter and mattering in which to consider the complexity of relations plants are entangled in. The panel will focus on plant subjectivities, how they assemble and what the assemblages are that they are implicated in.

What might be the status and our understanding of post natural plants subjectivities as we, for example, consider their instrumentalisation and usage? How might and what do plants assemble? What do they incorporate, and what are they incorporated into?

Members of the panel are Kira O'Reilly, Tuika Kokkonen, Laura Beloff, Monika Bakke and Jens Hauser.
